چکیده
The marine shale of the Upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation–Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation is main source rock and target gas exploration in southern Sichuan Basin. maturity organic matter (OM) a vital indicator for evaluation. Due to lack vitrinite, Wufeng–Longmaxi Formations Basin difficult accurately evaluate. In total, 33 core samples were selected observe optical characteristics solid bitumen graptolites measure their random reflectance. Simultaneously, Raman spectroscopic parameters kerogen also used quantitatively analyze change maturity. By using as mediators, conversion equations between graptolite reflectance (GRor) equivalent vitrinite (EqVRo) established. Taking calculation results EqVRo constraints, tectono-thermal evolution history Shale constructed through basin modelling. show that western Changning, Luzhou-western Chongqing, eastern Changning Weiyuan areas decreases successively. falls ranges 3.61%~3.91%, 2.92%~3.57%, 3.08%~3.25%, 2.41%~3.12%, average 3.73%, 3.30%, 3.18% 2.80%, respectively. Thermal was controlled by thermal effect Emeishan mantle plume paleo-burial depth, while other mainly depth. Comparison of Three Key Marine Shale Reservoirs in the Southeastern Margin of the Sichuan Basin, SW China
This study performs a comprehensive comparison of three key marine shale reservoirs in the southeastern margin of the Sichuan Basin, and explains why commercial gas production was only achieved in the Lower Silurian Longmaxi (LSL) and Upper Ordovician Wufeng (UOW) formations, but not in the Lower Cambrian Niutitang (LCN) formation. The experimental methods included in situ gas content and gas c...
متن کاملReview of Well Logs and Petrophysical Approaches for Shale Gas in Sichuan Basin, China
China has vast reserves of shale gas. Currently, shale gas is one of the focuses of the unconventional reservoir. Well logs play an import role in shale gas production, and it is the bridge connecting geology, geophysics and petroleum engineering. In the exploration stage, well logs are used to identify lithology, evaluate the parameters of mineral types and compositions, total organic carbon (...
متن کاملThe characteristics of overland ̄ow under varied tillage and cropping systems in Sichuan Basin, China
Data from runoff plots operated over a ®ve year period show that signi®cantly less overland ̄ow is generated with a seasonal no-till ridge system than with contour tillage or straight tillage systems. Seasonal no-till ridge is the optimum system for increasing the availability of water for rainfed agriculture on the dryland soils in the hilly area of Sichuan Province, China. # 2000 Published by...
متن کاملNanometer-Scale Pore Characteristics of Lacustrine Shale, Songliao Basin, NE China
In shale, liquid hydrocarbons are accumulated mainly in nanometer-scale pores or fractures, so the pore types and PSDs (pore size distributions) play a major role in the shale oil occurrence (free or absorbed state), amount of oil, and flow features. The pore types and PSDs of marine shale have been well studied; however, research on lacustrine shale is rare, especially for shale in the oil gen...
متن کاملA Thermal Maturity Analysis of the Effective Cretaceous Petroleum System in the Southern Persian Gulf Basin
Commercial hydrocarbon discoveries in the Cretaceous of the southern Persian Gulf basin provide direct evidence that there is an effective petroleum system associated with the Cretaceous series. The revised models of thermal maturity in this region are needed to investigate lateral and stratigraphic variations of thermal maturity, which have not so far been addressed in detail for this part of ...
